You know when something small unlocks a hidden memory? That’s exactly what happened to me. Most Popular: Walk of Life – I wish I could show you my face when this song started, because I have rarely ever had my jaw drop in my life. This is the song that he would listen to as he’s speeding down the highway with one hand on thĮ steering wheel. This song makes me feel like I’m the one driving in this situation.
SO FAR AWAY FROM ME DIRE STRAITS ALBUM WINDOWS
Most Underrated: One World – Picture this: old red truck, windows down, every seat filled (including the trunk), and a middle aged guy riding down a highway with his black racer sunglasses (and if you don’t know what that is, look them up). Calm and serene are the only two words I can use to describe how this song made me feel it’s perfect (other than the fact that it’s 8 minutes long). Why Worry is the peaceful song that would be perfect after having a mental breakdown about your purpose in life (and I hope that doesn’t make me sound crazy).
He rarely stresses, worries, or is overwhelmed. As soon as I read the name of it, it immediately reminded me of my dad, who has always had a special outlook on life, one that I hope one day I’ll come to share with him. Judge the music, don’t judge the fact that my dad recommended this band to me.īest Overall: Why Worry – I won’t lie, I was a little biased in reviewing this song in this particular album. If you’re into a balance between some weird techno, mellow, and upbeat rock, I guess give this a try. I do love my dad’s music taste, and this album proved that I shouldn’t expect any less from my middle aged dad. I chose the most recent album, assuming it would be something I’m more interested in, and he basically told me, in short, that I chose “their most commercial album,” rather than their best. I won’t lie to you, my dad recommended this band to me (Dire Straits).
