another thing, check also if the uv repeat is set to 1 and rotation 0, so that vray will use the mapping size and rotation that you will adjust using SU's texturing.
after i press open my SU scene automatically show the wood texture. so what i did is go to the imported vismat, then diffuse layers, then diffuse, click the capital M, then browse for the map wood-01.jpg(in my case), then press open. I'm guessing that the vismat expects tot find the bitmaps in a different location.i agree with thomthom, i just tested out wood_01.vismat from the vismat material holmes1977 after importing and applying the vismat wood_01.vismat following the same steps that you did i also got the same result. When you import vismats you need to relink the bitmaps that fololow it.
Vismat sketchup materials download#
English is my first language but sometimes feels like its my third or fourth.Īlso I'm trying to download Brushed Stainless Steel vismat off the site but am unable to. If I add a material to V-Ray Material editor and import a bitmap then apply this to the model I don't have the same problem. I select the material in SU and go to edit the material eg re size, but it doesn't allow me, the scaling option is greyed out. I then render the model and the imported vismat shows up but at the wrong scale. In Sketchup the faces that I applied the material to are now coloured grey. I then applied it to a few selected faces. I previewed it, which shows a wood material. So I imported the vismat file into sketchup through the V-Ray Material Editor I download the wood_frame vismat from the download section. Im new to V-ray so please bear with me if this is a dumb question.
